Dave Cybak
Executive Vice President of
Canadian Society of Association Executives (CSAE), Canada
Dave has been involved in the association sector since 1979 when he was appointed Marketing Manager for the Society of Automotive Engineers (SAE International) and went on to hold a number of other positions. Over the years, Dave has served as Director of Membership and Marketing at the Oncology Nursing Society, a US-based association, provided consultation and advice to associations such as the Society for Human Resource Management, the American Society of Civil Engineers, and the Refrigeration Service Engineers Society International. Dave, who holds an MBA degree, is experienced in all areas of association marketing and product development, strategic planning and implementation, and marketing research. He has also served in a volunteer leader capacity at not-for-profit organisations such as historical societies, educational foundations, and environmental groups. CSAE is a knowledge-based organisation that promotes excellence in association management, provides resources to enhance the professional development of its members to ensure their continued growth and success, and represents the third sector to legislators and policymakers on issues related to the association community. |

Janet Tan-Collis
Vice President (Meetings & Incentives Organisers) of
SACEOS, Singapore
Janet is a meetings and incentives industry veteran with more than 30 years of experience. She held several key positions with various companies before taking the helm at East West Executive Travellers, expanding the company into China and Malaysia, and growing it from a destination management company to become a full-service experiential solutions provider. Janet, who is vice-president, Meetings & Incentive, SACEOS (Singapore Association of Convention and Exhibition Organisers and Suppliers) works closely with major industry players, including NATAS (National Association of Travel Agents Singapore), Republic Polytechnic and MDIS (Management Development Institute of Singapore) and is chairman of Crew Skills, which provides the necessary skills for those who wish to work in the cruise industry. Among her many accolades, Janet was named Travel Personality of the Year for Asia-Pacific at the EIBTM event in Geneva, Switzerland, in 1995.

Martin Winter

Martin, who started his career in the travel industry in 1972, has held senior executive positions in Europe, South America and Australia. In addition to his current positions, Martin is also Chairman of Regional Tourism Queensland, and sits on the board of the Australian Association of Convention Bureaux. Prior to joining GCT, Martin was CEO of the Adelaide Convention & Tourism Authority, and was International Vice President Marketing with Le Cordon Blue, the Paris-based hotel and gastronomy sector MNC. Martin, a former Professor of the National University of Brazil, was formerly Chairman of the Adelaide Institute of TAFE (Training and Further Education) Council, President of the Australian Association of Convention Bureaux, Chairman of the Regional Tourism Board of South Australia, and was the inaugural Chairman of Conventions Australia. Martin holds a Masters degree in Management and was honoured by Southern Cross University with an Alumnus of the Year award in 2011. |

Noor Ahmad Hamid
Regional Director Asia Pacific of
International Congress and Convention Association (ICCA), Malaysia
Noor started his career at Tourism Malaysia where he was involved in international and domestic tourism promotion, media relations, meeting and incentive projects, and event organising. Tourism Malaysia posted Noor to Los Angeles where he was actively involved in meetings and incentive promotions for five years. After 16 years at Tourism Malaysia, he joined the private sector in event management, sponsorship and innovative tourism projects. Noor joined ICCA in 2009 and has since expanded the research team in the Kuala Lumpur regional office, making it a Global Research Centre for ICCA. Comprehensive research projects are being undertaken for the benefit of members worldwide. The ICCA Asia Pacific Chapter is one of the fastest growing regions. There are more than 170 member organisations from Australia, China, Chinese Taipei, Hong Kong, India, Indonesia, Japan, Macau, Malaysia, New Zealand, the Philippines, South Korea, Thailand, Singapore and Sri Lanka. ICCA, headquartered in Amsterdam, is one of the most prominent associations in the international meetings industry. |

Simon Pryor

Apart from conducting economic research, Simon is an experienced evaluator, policy developer and commentator, strategic planner, curriculum developer, conference presenter, meetings and events organiser, business facilitator and trainer. He has served as an executive officer of professional, education and industry associations for the past 25 years, including the Meetings Industry Association of Australia in Victoria, Moreland Community Enterprise Centre, Employment and Economic Development Corporation, Engineering Education Australia, and the Victorian Association for Drama in Education. He has served as Mayor and Councillor at the City of Brunswick and was a journalist, teacher and actor. He is director of Performing Arts Moreland, a not-for-profit company responsible for the Brunswick Music Festival and in 2009 completed a 10-year stint as Chairman of Mountain Goat Beer, a popular and successful boutique brewery. |

Welf Ebeling
Regional Director of
Global Business Travel Association (GBTA) Asia
Welf, who runs GBTA’s regional office in Bangkok, is driving the development strategy for GBTA in the Asia Pacific region, focusing on improving business travel management standards through education, conferences and networking events to facilitate dialogue between buyers and suppliers. Welf was previously Co-Founder and Managing Partner of the Syngenuity Group LLC, a worldwide network of hospitality and technology experts founded in 2009 and was based in New York. The former Executive Vice President and COO of The Leading Hotels was instrumental in transforming the company from a not-for-profit organisation into a highly profitable company, as well as establishing a number of subsidiary companies, such as Leading Interactive Reservations, Leading Group Sales and Leading Quality Assurance. He established Leading Spas and laid the foundation for The Leading Green Initiative, the first carbon-offset programme for the hospitality industry. The 35-year luxury hotel industry veteran has worked on three continents and has held senior executive positions with brands such as Mandarin Oriental, Regent International and Rafael Hotels and has managed some of the most iconic hotels in Europe and Asia. Originally from Germany he now holds both US and German citizenships.
